A TEA PARTY in honor of Tasha Tudor's Birthday

PINK LUSTRE WARE
was a favorite of
Beloved  Children's Book
 Illustrator and Author
 Tasha Tudor
( and also an inspiration for us to have a Tea party)

We are fondly remembering Tasha Tudor
and celebrating with a tea party
 on her Birthday!

Tasha was known for her love of tea.

(from a book called "Mother and Child" by Nell Dorr featuring Tasha and her children)

She was also known for her love of historical 19th century
clothing that she preferred to wear in her daily life
(isn't she just stunning and beautiful as a young woman)?

Grandidaughters, Ruthie, Lexi, and Natie
found three lovely brand new
dresses at the thrift store
and we thought that they would make
a perfect excuse to have a
Tea Party remembrance celebration!!

We all dressed in our finest "frocks"

and set out the most delectable of foods!

It was GREAT FUN!!

Mildred Mousiekin provided....
music from the parlor

and the dancing began!

Bare foot of course!

Photographing the girls reminded me of
the great and artistic works of Tasha Tudor's
Friend Nell Dorr
(a great roll model for my photography endeavors)

Missy joined the dancing too!

                                                                                                                                                                   And David danced before
                                                                                                                                         the LORD with all                                                                                                                                                his might;
                                                                                                                                        2 Samuel 2:14

We enjoyed preparing for the Tea.

We picked flowers.........

....and fresh Spearmint
                              was the choice for tea!

If whiffs of Fragrant Herbs
Could have a special tint,
How lovely would the color be
Above s bed of Mint.
MARGUERITE H. HICKERNELL
AND ELLA W. BREWER

We even picked berries for the punch!

(But beware!
Mr Stubbs is a most
devious party crasher)!

Also we are Praising God for
keeping "Hubby Bear" Gary
safe as he was in a very serious
car accident totaling his truck
and causing him to miss much work
as he recovered.
All is coming along well as we realise
