  1. Hi Linnie,

I so enjoyed this post! I too have been busy canning and made spaghetti sauce for the first time this year. Thankfully it was a fairly cool day. : )

It was truly a pleasure to visit with you and your husband at the Tasha Tudor tea in August. I sent you an email through your blog a while back, but I am not sure if I did it correctly.

  2. Dearest Linnie, it's so nice to see how your summer has progressed. I'm so sorry to hear that your husband has had back issues. Mine suffers the same and must do back exercises daily to keep him strong.
You are the Queen of putting up, my friend. I enjoyed seeing all the fruits of your labors. What a wonderful pantry you must have for winter! And the Mousiekins are so sweet to follow your lead. Have a wonderful week, dear one. xoxo ♥

  3. Good Morning Dearest Linnie, from Wales ~~~
I can empathise with your hubby. Mine goes from time to time and the pain is debilitating for days on end, it is a dreadful thing from which to suffer. Prayers for his continued recovery.
My, you have been a busy little bee this Autumn. Your reward will be hearty, tasty, healthy food all Winter long {and you know it's provenance} a reminder of the Summer months when it was growing and the days were warmer.
The Mousiekins, as ever, are full of fun, or is it beans today? I love their perfect little kitchen. Why, I do believe I'm quite envious of that stove.

LINNIE! Hello! I can tell you had a great summer! Oh how quickly the seasons go....I'm going on my 4th week in school and as fast as it came, it will go...it was a great summer here, and the school year is off to a good start.

What a lovely lifestyle you lead. Harvest time for you is REAL, not just décor. It must be satisfying to pick and prepare your own garden jewels. Love that "necklace" of beans! Be well sweet sister! Anita

  6. Hello dear one!
I'm so happy to see your post...we have been thinking we need to get back to canning and putting up our food. I used to do it....The rewards of your labor are so great! Of course the Mousiekins are canning. I bet their gardens were full too-or did they just snitch from yours?!

  8. I am so glad to see a post from you, facebook is okay, but there's nothing quite like blogging.
I am always delighted to see how you prepare every tasty thing using your vintage equipment and doing it the old-fashioned way. It is such a beautiful presentation every step of the way. The bean wreath is just marvelous! And that soup!
I was exhibiting at the Country Living Fair this weekend and my neighbor had her darling baby Nubian goat with her, what a sweet creature she was. Obviously, my neighbor was selling her goat's milk products. I thought of your babies and determined that IF I ever get more goats, they must be Nubians.
