"Gone Goating!!" ~ (very side tracked by Goaties)!!

"PapaBear is up to something and we are having nooo
part of it"!!!

What can it be????

I think it is for my pine-cone!!

Well I don't like the looks of it!!!

"Don't even think that I will go near THAT THING"!!!

It's the perfect highth and quite
comfortable too!

"Looks like we're finished Let's see if it works"!!

"Hmmm! Nope not for m.......HEY"! !!

         "IS THAT GRAIN" ?????

"Mmmm yum  yum yum , this isn't so bad after all"!!

..~..~..~..
Meanwhile;
On Craig's list: Nubian dairy goat for sale!

So off we went to pick up a new girl!!
There were many to choose from,
and even a real gentle buck !

Standing in the middle of a herd of ten or so,
as they all gathered around and greeted me
one came and leaned on me as though she knew me,
and then as the buck lead the other gals away
this one just stayed and leaned upon my side as I stroked her.

"Vera" chose me so the goat guy helped her aboard the van!

Then he says: "Do ya want to see the kids"???
And we said "SURE"!!!

(and PapaBear says in the van on the way up the hill:
 "Now don't get any ideas"!!!!!

~So we meet the kids!! ~

And PapaBear says;
"OK!!! WE'LL take TWO"!!!

 And MamaBear says; "Oh YES two for sure"!!!!

 And the Goat Guy says;
"Go ahead take your pick"!!
AND OF COURSE WE DID!!!!

And Ashley Maggie May approved!!

So home we went!! Vera ready to milk
and eager to meet the others!

  2. So sweet to see your new additions to your menagerie, dear Linnie. You are so adorable with your lap goaties! Your love of animals shows on your face as you tend to them. How lucky they are that you have chosen to bring them into your family. Have a wonderful week, dear Linnie. xoxo ♥

  3. I'm so pleased Ashley Maggie May approved ~ could have been a bit awkward! What lovely goats, and aren't the Nubians tree climbers, or is that another breed? I guess you'll know if you come out one morning and they are up instead of down. Hmmmmm~~~
    Aren't the Mousiekins having such fun of their own?
    Much love, Deb xoxo

  4. LINNIE!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    I have two days off and I am here, stress-free this morning with no worries of rushing off to work. How delightful it is to watch you interact with GOD'S CREATURES! They make me laugh, and I just can't help but think that God's pleasure in creation has some humor in it. JUST LOOK AT GOATS!!!!!!!

    And of course, the Mousekins ALWAYS follow suit. With their own little tools, workbench and other necessities, they are always a fun ending to your shares. Bless you dear sister in JESUS! Anita

  5. Dear Linnie,
    Oh my, they are so sweet. Yes, who knew, a lap goat! I just knew when he asked you if you wanted to see the kids, you would come home with one or two. After all, how could you resist?
    I love the feeder for the goats that papabear made. He did a great job.

    Thank you so much for visiting Lily. Oh she is such a dear little one. I so wish I was closer, but I try to drive out as much as I can. It's about 87 miles.
    Love and blessings,
    Penny

  6. Hello dear one! Oh I loved this post! We have neighbor goats, and always love watching their antics-and we LOVE hearing them! There's a boy goat that sounds like a fog horn....not much like a goat! They are wonderfully cute animals. I love their cute ears! I would snuggle up with one on my lap too! You must be very busy-I know it's still putting up time for apples and such.
    Love to you!
    Debra

  11. How I love this post. The Mousekins even have THEIR OWN GOAT TO MILK! teeeeheeeee..Tea Rat so wants to visit their farm and milk a goat, work with some teeny weeny tools and go GOAT RIDING!!!!!

    Linnie dearest, thank you SO MUCH for coming to visit my post AND I just rejoiced to read your account at the TRACTOR STORE!!!!!!!!!! I can't believe it, our home is all over the country! And thank you so much for purchasing it and reading. It was fun for the crew to come over two years ago now. The spread was supposed to be in French Country magazine, but that magazine went out of business, but the editor was kind enough to use us in another mag. It's fun to see our home in print!

    Well darlin', I wish you much happiness and fun during this season of transformation and soon to be celebration! It's been unseasonably warm and it doesn't feel as if Thanksgiving and Christmas are around the corner!

    Blessings of Christ to you!
