A Day at the Old Time Fiddler's Fair at the G.C.V.& M Aug 2015 and Fibre Fest!!

If you ever plan a visit to the Genesee County Village & Museum
you may want to choose to
go during their August
Old Time Fiddler's Festival !

And if you bring along an
instrument you and a guest
will be let in for free!!

It was GREAT FUN,
and I brought along my banjo!

I greatly enjoyed jamming with
this group of
talented musicians!

Every where you walk and look there is
wonderful old time-traditional music
to hear and behold!!

There were also other wonderful
traditional skills  and craft
demonstrations among the beautiful
grounds on a most perfect beautiful day!

One thing that particularly caught my attention
were the many wonderful examples
of many different stages of old time
fibre processing through out the village!

Natural dyers....

(all hand~spun, naturally dyed)!

...cochineal

indigo...

Weavers..

and spinners...

and Rug Hookers
