IVY A TRIBUTE

Anyone that knows me well,
knows that my Doggies are my BABIES
and I rather not ever miss a chance to be with them!

Little did I know that Barely a month
after shooting this picture with our Ivy
(first born...# ONE)
and the Mousiekins

13 Go to now, ye that say,
To day or to morrow we
will go into such a city,
and continue there a year,
and buy and sell, and get gain:
14 Whereas ye know not what shall be
on the morrow.
For what is you life? It is even a vapour,
that apeareth for a little time,
and then vanisheth away.
15 For we ought to say,
If the Lord will, we shall live,
and do this or that.
                                   James 4:13-15

That she would begin....

a series of visits to the Vet
to hopefully become well again.

Hubby Bear and I are so BLESSED to have found
this "All Creatures Great and Small"
type of Veterinarian's Office

The Victorian atmosphere
and the staff are so DEAR
as they help the "Circle of Life"!
And the Vet is so gentle
and learned.

All of the staff's pets come to work with them!
And there are plenty resident kitties there too!

It wasn't easy leaving our Ivy
at the Vet's for two long whole days.
but on that following Monday
a Sonogram Tummy Specialist
would help to find answers...
Pixie wondered?

But we were able to visit our Little Sweetie
who always found it easy to give a smile.
And all 3 of the Doctors
who saw her
encouraged us to go on......
..~..~..~..~..~..

But soon we became aware that .....

...nothing was going to work and bring back an appetite
or stop the chronic diarrhea.....

So we all kept a vigil...

And  we
Fed..

Massaged and rubbed...

...and LOVED

...and HOPED...

The Lord gave me a hopeful sweet day in the sun
we cuddled A LOT..

...and so it goes...
...All the King's Horses and all the Kings men.........

 And meanwhile...

 pixie found things to explore

Good-Bye our Dearest Ivy Darling for now...
till we see you at that Mansion
prepared by our Lord and Saviour
 Jesus

But as it is written,
Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard,
neither have entered into the heart of man,
the things which God hath prepared
 for them that love him.

We do, and this is why:

Almighty Creator, therefore they do not sin
and do not need to stand in judgment!

  1. My darling friend,

I am weeping here......I cannot say a word about how I feel at this moment, only that I BELIEVE that there awaits for us all MORE THAN WE CAN EVER IMAGINE, and that the precious gifts HE has given us here will be changed, MAGNIFIED and transformed into such an intense love.....I know I will be weeping in a big way for eternity out of sheer joy...no wonder will we will be casting our crowns and worshiping.

I am a big CHICKEN. I cannot have an animal for this reason: I could not take the pain of the loss....I cry when I watch a movie and see a horse get hurt!!!

I have missed you so. HUGS TO YOU ALWAYS, LINNIE! Anita

  2. Oh dear Linnie...I am so very sorry to hear about your sad loss.
I know how it breaks one's heart to watch a beloved little fur-friends suffer and leave us.
Our wonderful sweet old Bonnie went in a similar way to Ivy and it was terrible to see.
I think the Lord rewards our faithful and loving pets too.
Ivy Petticoats was a lovely dog and a much loved companion who you will miss a lot.
May the Lord soften your pain and increase only your happy memories of her!
She was a sweetie, that's for sure :-)
much love and {{big hugs}} to you and your family.. Trish xx

  4. When we have been blessed with such wonderful blessings, we feel the loss so much deeper.

She was so special, because Our Lord made her that way. You and your husband were wonderful caretakers. Ones that loved His Creation with so much fervor and so much compassion.

The pictures you shared, were just a glimpse of what I know you went through. Linnie remember your dear Ivy with fondness. The memories are so precious.

May Our Lord fill you with comfort my friend.

  5. Dearest Linnie,

A hug to you from Missouri! Poor Ivy is in the Happy Hunting Ground now. We just read about Jack's passing in the Little House books, and I can't help by cry every time I hear of a pet passing, since it brings back memories of all those that I have loved and lost. I can't remember who said, "Heaven won't be heaven without my dog to greet me there," but I believe that, with all my heart.

May Ivy's spirit always hover nearby.

    Love,

    Marqueta

  6. Ivy was surely very special. She was so lucky to have you for her master and friend. God bless you and comfort you during this sad time. God will never leave us nor forsake us. I can not imagine a heaven without my loved ones and my dear friends, my dogs, and my sheep. God bless you and keep you.

  8. Dear Sweet Linnie! I am sorry to hear that you have lost a dear pet that has brought such joy and love into your life. I have four kitty cats, and I know that if I lost one of them, I would be truly sad.

In any event, your doggies was fortunate to have people who cared for her right-up until the end. I pray that you will get over your "blueness" soon.

I'll be thinking of you, Dear Friend. :)

  9. Oh Honey, My heart is breaking for you! I've been there so many times. I most certainly believe our animals will be waiting for us in Heaven... they must be! It is with tears in my eyes, that I read this, and recall all my dear little friends that I have bid goodbye. It seems that our dogs are the most generous of "people", whose main delight in life is to be our companion and friend. The best thing about Ivy's life, aside from the happiness she gave to you, is that she spent it being loved. It was a good life.
I think Ivy is prancing around with my Ezra now. Someday,I believe, we will see them again.
