I was photographing some peonies and irises up close
in the back "Secret Garden" I soon reflected on thoughts of
Artist Georgia O'Keefe of how she "saw" and painted so many
huge close up flowers.
I had fun editing and giving these shots a "Georgia feel"
I hope you enjoy!!

Just beautiful Linnie...any of these photos would be glorious hung on a wall. Our peonies are not out yet....
ReplyDeleteUp close and personal, an entirely different perspective.Quite incredible to study the hidden bits, especially the Iris. My Peonies and Iris have gone already, such a brief bloom! I sometimes wonder if ANYTHING will be blooming in July and August as so many flowers are popping NOW....what is going to be leftover?!! Thank you for the nice comments on my blog!
ReplyDeleteWow, Linnie. Gorgeous! A whole new way to "paint" flowers.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful! Very artistic! Love you so much, Beth
ReplyDeleteLinnie, you have captured the joy and beauty of your lovely flowers so beautifully! How amazing! Georgia would be proud! I love that you have a Secret Garden--so charming. I see the Mousekins are enjoying themselves--so cute! xoxo ♥

ReplyDeleteLinnie my dear! Good morning! I am on vacation and though I have my computer, I've been away out all day, enjoying the gardens of Carmel by the sea. Your photos here are wonderful images of a beauty so BOLD AND BRIGHT, that takes flight too soon, but that's what makes it all the more special. I hope you are enjoying your garden to the fullest! Much love, Anita
ReplyDeleteLinnie! This is so beautiful!!!! I love your photo editing, and I have always admired Georgia O'Keeffe's work
