If enough people think of a thing
and work hard enough at it , I guess
it's bound to happen, wind and
weather permitting."
Laura Ingalls Wilder
The girls and I have so much FUN
"PRETENDING" and "TIME TRAVELING"
and we felt as though we
were in a "Little House On The Prairie" story!!
"Home is the nicest word there is!"
Laura Ingalls Wilder
"It is a good idea sometimes to think of
the importance and dignity of our
every-day duties.
It keeps them from being so tiresome;
besides, others are apt to take us at
our own valuation."
Laura Ingalls Wilder
Lexie's "new" antique teapot!
We had tea the day before!!
"Ma liked everything on her
table to be pretty.

"It is the common, everyday blessings
of our common everyday lives for
which we should be grateful."
Laura Ingalls Wilder
"The real things haven't changed.
It is still best to be honest and truthful;
to make the most of what we have; to be
happy with simple pleasures and have
the courage when things go wrong."
Laura Ingalls Wilder
"Things alone are very unsatisfying.
Happiness is not to be found in money
or in houses and lands, not even in modern
kitchens or a late motor car. Such things
add to our happiness only because of
the pleasant times they bring us."
Laura Ingalls Wilder
"The true way to live is to
enjoy every moment as it passes,
and surely it is in everyday things
around us that the beauty of life lies."
Laura Ingalls Wilder
"If we chose the way that "everybody does"
we are smirched with their dust and
confusion and imitate their mistakes."
Laura Ingalls Wilder
"As the years pass, I am coming more and more to
understand that it is the common everyday blessings
of our everyday lives for which we should be particularly
grateful. They are the things that fill our lives with
comfort and our hearts with gladness - just the pure
air to breathe and the strength to breath it; just
warmth and shelter and home folks; just plain food
that gives us strength; the bright sunshine on a cold
day; and a cool breeze when the day is warm."
Laura Ingalls Wilder
(Writings to young women, On Wisdom and virtue)
"Vices are only overlooked virtues."

Beloved, I wish above all things
that thou mayest prosper
and be in health,
even as thy soul prospereth.

"This earthly life is a battle" said Ma.
"If it isn't one thing to contend with,
it's another. It always has been so, and it
always will be. The sooner you make
your mind to that, the better off you are,
and more thankful for your pleasures."
Laura Ingalls Wilder
"I am beginning to learn that it is the sweet,
simple things of life which are
the real ones after all."
Laura Ingalls Wilder
"Remember well, and bear in mind,
a constant friend is hard to find"
Laura Ingalls Wilder
"The true way to enjoy every moment as
it passes, and surely it is in the everyday
things around us that the beauty of life lies."
Laura Ingalls Wilder
"A good laugh overcomes more
difficulties and dissipates more
dark clouds than any one thing."
Laura Ingalls Wilder
"It is the simple things of life that make
living worthwhile;
Sweet fundamental things such as love."
Laura Ingalls Wilder
"Suffering passes, while love
is eternal. That is a gift that you
have received from God.
Don't waste it."
Laura Ingalls Wilder
"But however fleeting and changeable
life may appear to be on the surface,
we know that the great underlying values
of life are always the same; no different
today than they were a thousand years ago."
Laura Ingalls Wilder
The Mousiekin family have always
lived the "Pioneer life"
They have lived in many dwellings
similar to the Ingalls
But wherever they are
they always make time for
JOY and FAMILY and FRIENDS!!
"Remember me with smiles
and laughter, for that is how
I will remember you all. If you
can only remember me with tears,
then don't remember me at all."
