ReplyDeleteNo, I am very excited for you! I can not wait to come and stay with you for a while.
I learned something about comments. Sometimes you have a hard time leaving a comment. Make sure when it takes you to the screen were you have to sign in again, you have the little box UNCHECKED, that says "stay signed in". I just tried it on another blog, and it worked!
I love your new house and I LOVE you!! Talk soon :-)
I am delighted for you, the house looks wonderful and I know you will have many happy years ahead of you - I have a feel for these things!
ReplyDeleteWarm greeting from Wales and good luck for moving day!

Linnie, This house will love you. You understand an old house, with its beauties and flaws, it's secrets and mysteries. You will surely contemplate the lives of those who walked those same floors. Just imagine all those distinct eras of this house's life span, the Civil War, the Victorians, the Edwardian's, the FLAPPERS and two World Wars! So many generations have filled the rooms, living lives so different from our own. And now it is your turn!
ReplyDeleteI think it looks just marvelous. I love the woodland stream and the cobblestone foundation. May you and yours spend countless happy years in this new "olde" home!
aghhhhh aghhhh I am screaming out of JOY lol!!! and jumping up and down ehehehe I am so super excited for you!! WOW that house is amazing!!! and I can't wait for September 1st either its my birthday hehehe I Will be praying that you have a wonderful move and transition into your new house where you will be blessed with new memories and much Joy ~Love Heather
ReplyDeleteCould it be any more of a perfect place for you? Old homes have such stories ot tell, and now you will be able to add your own personal chapters.
ReplyDeleteI look forward to seeing you personalize and decorate it.
Blessings!
many congrats! Oh, what a dream home! I so pine for an old house. There will be so much to learn, you will be part of history. Just think of all who have dwelt in and loved that house :) how exciting!!
ReplyDeleteI'm so sad you havent been able to post on the blogs! I'd tinkered with them and made them low level security-wise....Im wondering if perhaps you're running into that snag where blogger asks you to 'pick an ID" and you have to choose google, live journal, etc. Blogger is part of google, so you would choose google as your ID. try that next time and fingers crossed that it will work! I love visiting with you and dont want to miss any of your comments!~
Linnie, congratulations on finding such a beautiful old home!!
ReplyDeleteYou will love it there, and I'm sure you can't wait for September to arrive lol!
What a peaceful and pretty place to dream and create in :-)
God is wonderfully good!!
blessings to you..Trish

Dear Linnie, Thank you so very much for the kind words you left on my blog. I am so glad to have found yours - I am now a follower! Your antique brick Greek Revival farmhouse is absolutely beautiful! Your furnishings remind me SO much of those at our farmhouse. What a blessing to have the assistance of your elderly mama to help with restoration! I have enjoyed researching a genealogy for all owners of our Schoharie County farmhouse - it was handed down through the same family from 1830 until 1958, when my husband's aunt and uncle purchased it! We inherited it 9 years ago; and it is still a work in progress since we only spend time there in the summer and fall. Be sure to click on the photo of the flag through the window on my blog's sidebar to see photos of the house. Blessings, Cassandra ♥♥♥
