On the "TAIL" of Peter Rabit

Have you ever wondered ?
What transpires in the garden
when you are away? ....

The paths of their way are turned aside;
they go to nothing, and perish.
                                                        Job 6:17-19

There hath no temptation taken you
but such as is common to man: ....

....but God is faithful, who will not suffer
you to be tempted above that ye are able; ....

....but will with the temptation also make
a way to escape, that ye may be able to bear it
                                                         1 Corinthians 10:13

Our soul is escaped as a bird
 out of the snare of the fowlers:
the snare is broken,
and we are escaped
                          Psalm 124: 7

..one of them shall not fall on the ground
without your Father knowing it...
                                                                           Mathew 10:29

Be sober, be vigilant;
 because your adversary
 the devil, as a roaring lion,
walketh about, seeking
whom he may devour:
                                1 Peter 5:8

And a man shall be as an
hiding place from the wind,
and a covert from the tempest;
as rivers of water in a dry place,
as the shadow of a great
rock in a weary land
                               Isaiah 32:1-3

He that dwelleth in the secret place of the most High shall abide
                                   under the shadow of the Almighty

Psalm 91:1

 Verily, verily, I say unto you,
He that entereth not by the door
into the sheepfold, but climbeth up
some other way, the same is a thief
 and a robber.....

But he that entereth in by the door
is the shepherd of the sheep....

To him the porter openeth;
and the sheep hear his voice:
and he calleth his own sheep by
name, and leadeth them out.
                                                            John: 10

His children are far from safety,
 and they are crushed in the gate,
                                      neither is there any to deliver them.
 Job 5:3-5

I will enter Thy gates with Thanksgiving...
                                                                                                Psalm 100:4

There is no soundness
in my flesh because of thine anger;
 neither is there any rest in
 my bones because of my sin.
Psalm 38:2-4

This is my rest for ever:
 here will I dwell;
                                for I have desired it.
 Psalm 132:13-15

And thou shalt rejoice in thy feast,
thou, and thy son, and thy daughter,
and thy manservant,
and thy maidservant, and the Levite,
the stranger, and the fatherless,
and the widow, that are within thy gates.
                                                          Deuteronomy 16:15

Beloved, I wish above all things

  2. Oh Linnie my dear,

    I LOVE PETER and his friends and I cannot tell you how YOUR STAGING (soooooooooooo cute!!!!!) was a timely one for me today. In all of God's gentle creatures, I always find solace for HE cares so much for each one, even the slightest of them all. YOU PERFECTLY set the stage to give an even broader picture of the dangers AND THE MERCIES of life. Peter is absolutely adorable and you are even equipped with the little mouse with the pea in her mouth!!! AND YOUR GARDEN AND POTTING SHED ARE so right on.

    THANK YOU FOR VISITING TODAY! Enjoy a splendid week of READING and worshipping in the corners of your heart my dearest. Anita

  11. PS. Did I ever tell you that I hid a bit of trivia on the fox page of "Bushky Bushybottom" concerning B.P.? It was my dedication to her. There are 5 "clues" hidden amongst the paintings. See if you can find them. Jeri

    that handsome, cooperative, genuine
    article rabbit? He really befits
    the tale, as do those beautiful
    scripture verses..what insight you
    have. If you don't mind sharing,
    I would love to get one of those

  14. Cute isn't enough of a word to describe your piece. I will wish to visit again and to view the videos on a larger screen which you so carefully included. I appreciate the message too, in the Scripture. My married daughters will like this when I tell them.
    I like looking through the window of our front parlor at dusk and see the rabbit that skirts along the edge of the wood. It is a timid thing. I added rabbits to a schoolgirl sampler this spring - that were not on the original chart - they suggested themselves to me.
    Thank you for the refreshment.

  23. My Dear Linnie,
    I have been away so so long ...and I come here to find the most precious, heart-stirring post! Along with the best version of Miss Potter ever! I have heard Jeri tell of it but had never seen it. Your collection of Beatrix Potter books is quite impressive...I see we all share such an admiration for her work and life.
    The scriptures were so beautifully entwined in the story. Such a clever comparison, dear girl!
    I miss you terribly, my friend!
    Hoping all is well,
