Have you ever wondered ?

What transpires in the garden

RESTORATION of OLD TREASURES

  Aren't Old Books so Lovely?    

How wonderful to read them 

and slip into the past for awhile!!

                                      Sometimes one is in need 
                         of loving rescue and care...

 

                               Just find some matching
                                      cotton material,
                            and cut it to fit the binding, 
                                                    

laying a piece of cardboard 

to lift the cover helps 

when gluing the binding

Measure and cut a piece to fit the damaged area..

(a Good eye will tell you what looks good)

and remember "measure twice cut once"!!

iron a crease around the the whole piece

 paint the glue onto the back of  material

then apply it to the book

add some pretty matching ribbon, or lace

                         Now it is ready to join the other BEAUTIFUL Antique Books!
